Born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Dameshek’s work has appeared in The Cimarron Review, The Columbia Poetry Review, The Harrisburg Review, The Coe Review, Portrait, Conte and The Wildwood Journal. In 1999, he received the Eileen Lannan Award for Poetry as an undergraduate student at Columbia College in Chicago. In 2004, his interview with the wonderful poet Bruce Weigl was published in Memorious.

Dameshek holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College, as well as BA in Creative Writing from the College of Santa Fe. 

After living in Pittsburgh, Santa Fe, Chicago, Boston and Philadelphia, Dameshek now resides in Camp Hill, PA with his wife, Michelle; his daughter, Marsden; and his three dogs, Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli, Jake the Dog and Toast.
